This nitride bonded silicon carbide brick has top high temperature resistance, high mechanical strength and low coefficient of thermal expansion, which is suitable for all kinds of high temperature industrial environments, and effectively improves the operating efficiency of the equipment and reduces the maintenance cost.
Fireramo produces nitride bonded silicon carbide bricks, which are high-grade refractory materials made of high-quality silicon carbide (SiC) and silicon nitride (Si3N4) as the main raw materials, prepared through precise formula design and unique technology. The main components of nitride-bonded silicon carbide bricks include SiC content ≥72%, Si3N4 content ≥18%, total content ≥94%, and Fe2O3 impurity content is strictly controlled at ≤0.7%, which ensures the bricks’ ultra-high purity and excellent performance.
High temperature resistance: Fireramo’s nitride bonded silicon carbide bricks can reach a maximum hot face temperature of 1650°C, which maintains stable performance in extreme high temperature environments.
High mechanical strength: At both ambient and elevated temperatures, Fireramo’s silicon carbide nitride bricks demonstrate excellent mechanical properties, including a cold modulus of rupture of ≥40MPa, a modulus of rupture of ≥45MPa at 1400°C, a modulus of rupture of ≥42MPa at 1000°C, and a cold compression strength of ≥150MPa.
Excellent thermal stability: this nitrided silicon carbide brick has a bulk density of ≥2.65g/cm³ and a coefficient of thermal expansion (20-1400°C) of ≤4.8×10-6, which means that the brick has an extremely low thermal expansion and contraction rate, thus greatly improving its resistance to thermal shock in repeated thermal cycles.
Low porosity: this nitrided silicon carbide brick has a porosity of ≤17%, which effectively reduces thermal resistance and infiltration, increasing the durability of the brick body.
Efficient thermal conductivity: the thermal conductivity of this silicon nitride carbide brick is ≥16W/(m-K), indicating that the product has good thermal conductivity, which helps to transfer heat quickly, improve thermal efficiency and reduce energy loss.
Due to its excellent high temperature resistance, high strength, low thermal expansion and good thermal conductivity, Fireramo Nitride Bonded Silicon Carbide Brick is widely used in the lining, bottom and wall of various high temperature industrial furnaces, such as iron and steel smelting, non-ferrous metal smelting, ceramics firing, glass melting, chemical reactors, waste incinerators and other special parts.
