Bottom: The bottom of the blast furnace, where the molten iron metal (molten iron) and slag are collected. The bottom of the furnace is usually made of high alumina bricks and silicate bricks with good refractory and corrosion resistance.
Furnace Body: Above the bottom is the body of the blast furnace. The furnace wall is the main component of the blast furnace body, which is a cylindrical structure mainly divided into three zones: high-temperature zone, medium-temperature zone and cooling zone.
High-temperature zone: In the high-temperature zone, the commonly used refractory bricks include high alumina bricks and silicate bricks. High-alumina bricks have excellent refractory properties and erosion resistance, while silicate bricks are also used in some special cases.
Medium temperature zone: Refractory bricks for medium temperature zones are usually silicate bricks, which can adapt to higher temperatures and chemical environments.
Cooling zone: Refractory bricks or other refractory materials are used in cooling zones to resist lower temperatures and mechanical stresses.
Furnace throat: The throat is the transition area between the furnace body and the furnace seal. The throat is generally made of carbon bricks, which can withstand high temperatures and impacts and have good thermal conductivity.
Seal: Above the throat is the seal of the blast furnace, which is a conical structure usually made of high alumina bricks or silicate bricks capable of withstanding high temperatures and chemical attack.
Top of Blast Furnace: Above the seal is the top of the blast furnace, which usually also includes the desulfurization equipment, gas treatment equipment and chimney. Generally use high alumina bricks, silicate bricks and refractory castables.

Fused Silica Brick for Sale Fused silica bricks are high-quality refractory bricks with high-purity silicon dioxide (SiO₂) as the main ingredient.Fireramo’s fused silica bricks have a high SiO₂ content of ≥99%, and the content of impurities is strictly controlled, e.g., Al₂O₃ ≤0.3%, Fe₂O₃ ≤0.3%, CaO ≤0.1%, which ensures the product’s purity and excellent refractory performance. Characteristics of Fireramo fused silica bricks Extremely high purity: Nearly full SiO₂ composition ensures that fused silica bricks are chemically stable at high temperatures and do not react with most chemicals. High density and low porosity: Fireramo’s fused silica bricks have a bulk density of ≥1.85 g/cm³ and an apparent porosity of ≤18%, making the bricks dense, which not only reduces heat conduction losses, but…
Refractory bricks and heat-resistant materials for hot blast furnace construction
Silica Brick for Hot Blast Stove/furnace Description of Silica Brick for Hot Blast Stove Silicon bricks for hot blast stove are silicon refractory materials made by taking squamous quartz as the main crystalline phase, adding mineralizing agent and binding agent, and going through the processes of mixing, molding, drying, and sintering. Silicon brick for hot blast furnace is the main refractory material for the high temperature part of hot blast furnace. As the hot air temperature of the blast furnace continues to increase, the Fireclay brick or high alumina brick often used in the high-temperature parts of the hot stove in the past is gradually replaced by the hot stove with silica bricks and low creep high alumina bricks. Characteristics…
High Alumina Refractory Brick Fireamo High Alumina Brick Description High alumina bricks, also known as alumina refractory bricks, are a type of refractory material with an alumina content of more than 48%. High alumina bricks are mainly made from preferred bauxite clinker, which is sintered at temperatures ranging from 1420 to 1530 °C. High alumina bricks are well suited for industrial applications that require resistance to high temperatures, abrasion and corrosion. High alumina refractory bricks are ideally suited for industrial applications that require high temperature, abrasion and corrosion resistant environments. They are commonly used in the construction of furnaces, kilns, incinerators and other high-temperature equipment as linings or insulation. What is a high alumina brick? Depending on the Al2O3 content, high…
