Alumina bubble brick and high alumina brick are all refractory bricks; both of them contain aluminum dioxide, and the alumina content is relatively high. However, alumina bubble bricks and high-alumina bricks are not the same products.
Aluminum bubble brick belongs to the type of thermal insulation refractory brick. It is lightweight refractory brick mainly made from aluminum oxide hollow balls as the main raw material, add industrial aluminum powder and binder are added in proportion, mixed, stirred, pressed, and dried, then sintered at high temperature shuttle kiln with 1800 °C. It belongs to the category of advanced thermal insulation refractory energy-saving material products.
High-alumina brick are silicate aluminum refractory materials with a content of Al2O3 higher than 48% It is a type of inorganic, non-metallic material with a refractory temperature exceeding 1580 °C. In addition to the main component of alumina, it mainly contains silicon dioxide (SiO2). It is a type of aluminosilicate refractory material and the most common type of refractory brick. High alumina brick is neutral refractory materials, with Al2O3 content divided into three grades: Grade 1- Al2O3 content>75%; Second grade – Al2O3 content is 60-75%; Third grade – Al2O3 content is 48-60%.
The content of aluminum oxide in alumina bubble brick is higher than that in high alumina brick, alumina bubble brick usually exceeding 90%.
The refractoriness of alumina bubble brick is around 1800 ℃, and high alumina bricks is around 1750 ℃.
Alumina bubble brick bulk density is more smaller than high alumina brick, alumina bubble brick is lightweight brick, while high alumina brick is heavy brick.
The higher of alumina content in high alumina brick, the whiter and bluer for the brick, while alumina bubble brick is white.
The price of alumina bubble brick is higher than that of high alumina brick.
Application of alumina hollow ball bricks: Alumina bubble brick products are lightweight refractory materials with high temperature resistance and excellent energy conservation, which are very stable when used in various atmospheres. Especially in the application of high-temperature kilns at 1800 ℃, alumina bubble brick can be used as high-temperature and ultra-high temperature insulation fillers, lightweight aggregates for high-temperature refractory concrete, high-temperature pouring materials, etc. Alumina bubble brick can be used in high-temperature and energy-saving inverted flame kilns, shuttle kilns, molybdenum wire furnaces, tungsten rod furnaces, induction furnaces, nitriding furnaces, etc. Significant results will be achieved in reducing the weight of the furnace body, transforming the structure, saving materials, and energy.
The application of high alumina brick: High alumina brick is mainly used for high-temperature kiln linings, as wear-resistant and high-temperature resistant linings, with application temperatures below 1550 degrees Celsius; In addition, high alumina brick also used as decorative materials, as they have fire resistance and beautiful colors. Warm color systems can also be used in industries such as decoration and decoration.
