Fireramo low-cement, non-permeable castables have become the ideal lining material for many high-temperature industrial furnaces thanks to their high refractoriness, low cement formulation, excellent mechanical properties and outstanding non-permeability.
Fireramo’s low-cemented, non-permeable castables are high-performance refractory materials developed in-house and are available in two versions, FX-80 and FX-65. FX-80 has a high alumina content of ≥80%, while FX-65 has ≥65%, and both are reinforced with an appropriate amount of steel fibres to strengthen their mechanical properties. Both products have excellent non-permeability and are particularly suitable for use in harsh environments where high temperatures, chemical attack and penetration are concerns.
High refractoriness: FX series of low-cemented, non-permeable castables can be used up to a maximum temperature of 1500°C, which ensures stable performance in high-temperature environments.
Low cement formula: Fireramo low cement non-permeable castables adopt low cement technology, which effectively reduces the hydration products and improves the bulk density. The bulk density of FX-80 and FX-65 is ≥2.75g/cm³ and ≥2.4g/cm³ respectively, at 110°C for 24 hours, which greatly improves its refractory and heat insulation performance.
Excellent Mechanical Properties: In terms of modulus of rupture after curing at 110°C for 24 hours, FX-80 type ≥10MPa and FX-65 type ≥6MPa, which reflects the strong crack and abrasion resistance; meanwhile, the crushing strengths are ≥60MPa and ≥50 MPa, respectively, which ensures the structural stability of the castables at high temperatures.
Non-permeability: Unique formula design and process treatment make Fireramo low cement non-permeable castables have excellent non-permeability performance, which can effectively prevent the penetration and erosion of molten metal, slag and other high-temperature substances.
Fireramo low-cement non-permeable castables are widely used in the lining of various high-temperature equipments and kilns in the industries of iron and steel, metallurgy, chemical industry, ceramics and electric power, such as RH refining furnace, LF refining furnace, converters, electric furnaces, glass melting kiln, rotary cement kilns, etc. They are especially suitable for the key parts, which need to be resistant to infiltration, abrasion and high temperatures.
Fireramo low-cement non-permeable castable adopts advanced low-cement technology, accurately proportions each raw material component, mixes in an appropriate amount of steel fibre, and ensures the homogeneity and fluidity of the castable through an optimized mixing process. During on-site construction, it can be simply mixed, poured, and maintained to form a dense, high-strength refractory lining.
