Silicon bricks for hot blast stove are silicon refractory materials made by taking squamous quartz as the main crystalline phase, adding mineralizing agent and binding agent, and going through the processes of mixing, molding, drying, and sintering. Silicon brick for hot blast furnace is the main refractory material for the high temperature part of hot blast furnace.
As the hot air temperature of the blast furnace continues to increase, the Fireclay brick or high alumina brick often used in the high-temperature parts of the hot stove in the past is gradually replaced by the hot stove with silica bricks and low creep high alumina bricks.
Silica bricks for hot blast stove belong to acidic proof bricks, with strong resistance to acidic slag or acidic solution erosion.
Under the condition of long term high temperature and load, it has stable volume and low high temperature creep rate, and can be used continuously for one or even two blast furnace service.
Refractory bricks for hot blast furnace still have good thermal shock resistance above 600℃. Adapt to the temperature variability of the hot blast furnace, so that the brick and masonry to maintain integrity.
Resistance to chemical erosion is better than clay bricks and general high alumina bricks. The erosion of silica bricks by alkaline substances in gas and soot is limited to the formation of a layer of glass phase on the surface, and no spalling occurs.
The thermal conductivity of silica bricks is larger than that of clay bricks and high alumina bricks, which is conducive to the storage and release of heat in a shorter period of time.
Silicon bricks for hot blast stove are mainly used in the upper part of the heat storage room of the hot blast stove, the cone part and the pipeline combination.
